Baoshi Yan is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in risk engineering and payment systems. Currently serving as the Head of Risk Engineering at WEX since January 2025, Baoshi oversees risk operations for various payment verticals. Previously, Baoshi was the Engineering Manager at Plaid from May 2021 to January 2025, where leadership of the payment risk team led to the successful launch of the Signal API. With a strong background at Uber as the Head of Payment Risk Engineering, Baoshi managed engineering efforts to combat payment fraud across Uber's services. Additional roles include Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn, Senior Research Scientist and Research Engineer at Bosch Research, and co-founder of EnglEasy, which specialized in language learning technology. Baoshi began a career in research as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California and holds advanced degrees in Computer Science from both the University of Southern California and the University of Science and Technology of China.
