Carrie Carney

Carrie Carney is a Senior Counsel for Corporate Governance and Sustainability at WEX, where they provide guidance on regulatory matters and assist with compliance projects. Carrie has over a decade of experience as an attorney, beginning as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army and later serving as an Assistant District Attorney and Assistant Attorney General in Maine. They held roles as a Director of Regulatory Affairs and Risk Management, where they oversaw compliance for pharmacies across multiple states. Carrie earned a Juris Doctor from Maine Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Colby College, and is an ACAMS Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
