Daniel Hanks is an experienced aquatic ecologist currently working at Weyerhaeuser since November 2020 in the Environmental Research South division. Prior to this role, Daniel served as a postdoctoral fellow at Clemson University from August 2016 to November 2020 and held a position as a PhD student in Fisheries Biology at West Virginia University from August 2010 to November 2020. Additionally, Daniel was a Palmetto Green Postdoctoral Fellow at Palmetto Green: The Future of Commerce and Conservation between September 2018 and May 2020 and coordinated freshman biology courses at Presbyterian College from August 2005 to July 2010. Daniel earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Wildlife, Fish and Wildlands Science and Management from West Virginia University in 2016, a Master of Science in Biology from Western Carolina University in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Presbyterian College in 1999.
