Erik Parker

Erik Parker is an experienced wood chemist currently serving as the Wood Chemist and Chemistry Platform Support Group Manager at Weyerhaeuser since October 2011, focusing on the evaluation and development of new chemical additives and technologies for wood products. Erik's background includes a role as a Radiochemist at Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International Inc. from January 2010 to November 2011, where responsibilities involved analyzing highly radioactive samples. Additionally, Erik worked as a Research Scientist at Weyerhaeuser from January 2000 to September 2009, managing full-scale mill trials, and was previously a Chemist at Trus Joist MacMillan, contributing to new product development with polyurethane foam systems. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Idaho.
