Amirah Sequeira is currently the Director of Federal Affairs at the Working Families Party, a position held since 2025. Previously, Amirah served as the Lead Legislative Advocate and held various legislative roles at National Nurses United from 2019 to 2021. Earlier in their career, Amirah interned at Duke Energy Corporation and was a Summer Research Fellow at Columbia University in 2010. With a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and a Master's Degree from the University of Cambridge, Amirah also contributed as the National Coordinator for the Student Global AIDS Campaign and worked as Associate Director at Health GAP from 2015 to 2016.
