Angela Saxton is an accomplished organizer with extensive experience in community engagement and leadership development. Currently serving as a Senior Organizer at the Working Families Party since February 2020, Angela has built the BetOnUs program and launched the 2021 Organizing Leadership Cohort. As an OD & Organizing Coach at Georgia Shift since May 2019, Angela founded the New Narratives Deep community assessment and initiated an issues campaign focused on the concerns of youth and young adults of color. In previous roles, including Lead Organizer at ABLE and Civic Engagement Project Manager positions at Women Engaged and the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, Angela has significantly increased voter registration efforts and organizational budgets, while training and developing emerging leaders. Angela holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development from Strayer University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Hope College.
