John Hengesbach has extensive experience in various roles and industries throughout their work history. John is currently the President of ASAP Design Services, Inc, where they provide engineering level consulting for software and hardware product development. John has expertise in microprocessor families including Atmel, Microchip, Cortex, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and Propeller.
Prior to their current role, John worked as a Broadcast Engineer at WFYI Public Media, where they assisted with the maintenance of an NPR radio station and PBS television station. John was responsible for firmware development, electrical design compliance, and refining the design of a medical pill dispensing system. John also designed over 60 multilayer printed circuit boards and integrated complex electronic assembly and test techniques.
From 1998 to 2003, John was responsible for Global CAM Software Development at Sanmina-SCI/Hadco. John successfully developed and deployed CAM and engineering related software tools within a multi-plant printed circuit board manufacturing environment. John negotiated with users and vendors to achieve commonality and satisfy business needs.
