Monica Brames

Monica Brames, CPA has a extensive work experience that spans over two decades. Monica is currently the Controller at WFYI Public Media, starting in April 2019. Prior to this role, Monica held various positions at HireAthena from 2014 to 2019, including Director of Field Services, Controller, and Accounting Manager.

Before joining HireAthena, Monica worked at Veolia Water North America from 2006 to 2011. During their time there, they served as the Director of Financial Reporting and Internal Control, where they oversaw accurate monthly reporting and compliance with IFRS. Monica also established the Internal Control department at the company. Before this role, Monica was the Financial Reporting Manager at Veolia Water North America.

Monica's career started at EY in 1999, where they worked as an Audit Staff - Level 2 for two years. Following their time at EY, Monica joined Tech Data as the Manager of Corporate Accounting from 2001 to 2004.

Monica Brames, CPA completed their Master's degree in Accounting at the University of Florida from 1995 to 1999. In April 2001, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the New York State Board of Accountancy.
