Emma Rodriguez currently serves as the Weekend Edition Host, Reporter, and Producer at WGCU Public Media, where responsibilities include hosting weekend shifts, booking guests, and editing pre-recordings for the local talk show "Gulf Coast Life." Prior experience encompasses roles as a Reporter and Fill-in Host, a reporter/intern covering a variety of stories for radio and TV, and a Democracy Watch Reporter focusing on government and human interest topics. Emma has also worked as a Staff Writer for Eagle News, receiving the Feature of the Year Award and the Rising Star Award in 2023, and held various internships at Gulfshore Business Magazine, The Naples Press, and WINK NEWS. Prior to these roles, Emma contributed to community engagement through service-learning initiatives at Florida Gulf Coast University, where a Bachelor's degree in Journalism is pursued, expected in May 2025.
