Matt King has extensive experience in the news industry, starting in 1996 as a Sports Director at WDEF-TV and progressing through various roles. Matt worked as a producer at WTSP-TV from 2003 to 2005 and then as an Executive Producer at WUSA-TV until 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they served as an Assistant News Director at WXIA-TV, overseeing the daily operations of the news department. Matt then took on the role of News Director at WCNC-TV from 2015 to 2020, where they successfully rebuilt the news operation and led the team to multiple awards. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as the News Director at WGCL/CBS46, where they directed and managed a large news organization and focused on digital streaming platforms. Most recently, they served as a Senior Project Manager at CBS News and Stations from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are working as the Vice President of News at NewsNation.
Matt King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science & Telecommunications from the University of Florida.
