Hannah Shapiro is a dedicated news writer at WGN-TV since September 2022, bringing extensive experience in journalism and education. Previously, Hannah specialized in broadcast journalism during a Master of Science in Journalism program at Northwestern University, where notable projects included producing a local news show and creating multimedia content focused on social justice. Prior to this, Hannah served as an English and journalism teacher at Eagle Valley High School, developing award-winning student media projects and promoting equity initiatives. Experience also includes roles as an instructor and curriculum developer, showcasing a strong commitment to media education and community engagement. Educational qualifications encompass a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Colby College.
