Alexandra Pickles

Alexandra Pickles is an experienced communications professional with a career spanning over 18 years. Currently serving as the Manager of Communications and Engagement at Whakatāne District Council since January 2012, Alexandra previously worked as a Communications Advisor at Bay of Plenty Regional Council from September 2006 to May 2012 and as a Customer Service Representative at Accident Compensation Corporation from December 2004 to August 2006. Alexandra holds an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from PRINZ Public Relations Institute of New Zealand, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Management Communication from Massey University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Screen and Media Studies and History from The University of Waikato. Educational background includes attendance at Tauranga Girls’ College and St George’s Preparatory School.
