Justine Boulent

Justine Boulent has a range of experience in the research and development field. Their most recent position was as a Lead AI Researcher at Whale Seeker, where they started in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at XEOS Imaging Inc. from February 2021 to September 2021.

Before joining XEOS Imaging Inc., Justine was a PhD Student at Université de Sherbrooke from January 2017 to December 2020. Their research focused on using deep learning techniques to automatically identify vine phytosanitary problems from various types of images, including proximal and UAV images.

Justine also gained experience as a Research and Development Intern at Groupe Roullier, where they developed a comprehensive protocol for remote sensing plot analysis for crop nutrition research. Justine held this position from March 2016 to September 2016.

Their earliest work experience was as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science in 2015. Justine worked on differentiating irrigated and non-irrigated crops using SPOT5 images in the Berambadi watershed.

Justine Boulent completed their Bachelor's degree in Geography at the Université Rennes 2 from 2012 to 2014. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Remote Sensing - GIS at both the L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers and the Université Rennes 2 from 2014 to 2016.
