Julia Bews

Julia Bews has worked at seven different companies since 2012. Julia began their career at Oracle Capital Group as a Financial Management Intern in 2012. Julia then worked as a Model Analysis and Optimisation Intern at Noster Capital LLP in 2016. Julia had a Data Analytics Internship at Sybenetix in 2016, and was a Data Scientist at Codec.ai in 2017. In the same year, they were also a Data Scientist and Co-Author of a Proof of Concept White Paper at MEDIA Protocol Ltd. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Avora in two roles: Head of Data Science and Application Architecture and Lead Data Scientist. Her current role is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Whalemap.

Julia Bews attended UCL from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in European Social and Political Studies. Julia then returned to UCL from 2015 to 2016 to obtain a Master of Science in Computational Finance. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: Principles of Machine Learning from Microsoft in August 2016, and Bloomberg BMC Certified from Bloomberg LP in January 2016.
