Curtis Fonger has a long and varied work experience. Curtis began their career in 2005 as a Residential Computing Consultant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2006, they had internships at Amazon.com as a Software Development Engineer Intern and at Lycos, Inc. as a Web Development Intern. Curtis also worked at Electronic Arts as a Software Development Intern, developing Java games at Pogo.com. In 2009, they worked as a Software Research Intern at INRIA and as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft. In 2012, they co-founded Appetas and served as CTO, building a website builder for restaurants, which was later sold to Google. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at Google as an Engineering Manager and Software Engineer. In 2020, they co-founded Whalesync and currently serves as CEO.

Curtis Fonger attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2008, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in EECS and Math. Curtis then returned to MIT and completed a Master of Engineering in Computer Science in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Degree from Suncoast Community High School.
