Gus Wessels, Jr. is the current Dean of Financial & Business Services at Wharton County Junior College. Prior to their current position, Wessels served as the Wharton County Treasurer from April 1983 to October 2001. In this role, they were responsible for cash management, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, investments, assisted with annual audit, human resources.
Wessels has a long history of experience in financial and business management. Gus is a well-respected leader in their field and their experience will continue to benefit Wharton County Junior College in the years to come.
Gus Wessels, Jr. received a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University and an Associates of Arts in Accounting from Wharton County Junior College.
