J. Armando Torres

J. Armando Torres, JD, MBA has worked at Whataburger since 2018. J. Armando started as a Legal Extern in January 2018 and later became a Corporate Counsel in January 2019. In this role, they advised various departments on transactional, employment, and compliance matters. J. Armando also negotiated and advised on contracts and developed practical business solutions to mitigate legal risk. In April 2023, they were promoted to the position of Director, Senior Corporate Counsel-Legal Compliance, where they continued to provide legal guidance and support to the organization.

J. Armando Torres, JD, MBA, earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Southwestern University in 2011. J. Armando then pursued higher education at Texas Tech University, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2018. Additionally, they also completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General from the Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business in 2018.
