Alexander Tomney

Alexander Tomney has a diverse background in IT and technology support. Alexander started their career as a Desktop Support at Berschauer Phillips in 2007 and then moved to New Market Skills Center as an IT Support/Network Administrator. In 2008, they joined Jera Networks as a Technical Advisor, providing small business technology support and maintenance. In 2012, they joined TwinStar Credit Union, where they held multiple roles, including Software/Hardware Administrator, Telecommunications Administrator, System Engineer, and Sr. Systems Engineer. Alexander was responsible for coordinating, implementing, and managing various aspects of communications and network functions. In 2019, they joined Whatcom Educational Credit Union as a Network Engineer.

Alexander Tomney attended South Puget Sound Community College from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Networking and Language. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications in the field of information technology. These certifications include CIW v5 Database Design Specialist, CIW Web Foundations Associate, CIW Web Design Specialist, CompTIA A+ ce, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA Project+. Alexander has also completed several courses and certifications through LinuxAcademy.com, such as Active Directory and Amazon Web Services, Linux Academy Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator Prep Course, Linux Academy Red Hat OpenStack Administrator Certification Prep Course, Linux Essentials Certification, Nginx and The LEMP Stack, and OpenStack Essentials.
