Leah Cuneo

Leah Cuneo has a diverse work experience starting from 1994 when they worked as a deckhand on a commercial fishing boat for 5 summers. During this time, they also performed additional tasks such as cooking and sorting fish on a tender. In 2004, they transitioned to T-Mobile where they worked as a Customer Service Representative until 2006. Leah then joined Slo Pitch Sports Grill and Casino as a Restaurant and Bar Manager, where they managed a team of 10-15 employees and handled tasks such as hiring, training, conflict resolution, and regulatory compliance. From 2010 to 2014, Leah worked as a Bank Teller at Chase. In 2014, they joined Whatcom Educational Credit Union-WECU® as a Credit Card Specialist, responsible for card fraud investigation, member service, GL balancing, ATM disputes, and training. In 2018, they moved into the role of Corporate Accountant at WECU, and in 2023, they became a Financial Analyst.

Leah Cuneo started their education at Bellingham Technical College in 2016 and completed their Associate of Science degree in Accounting in 2018. Leah later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting at Western Governors University, starting in 2021 and expected to graduate in 2022. In addition to their degrees, Leah has obtained several certifications from Canvas Credentials (Badgr) through Western Governors University. These include the WGU Accounting Certificate, WGU Strategic Thinking & Innovation Certificate, WGU Micro-credential in Human Resource Management, WGU Micro-credential in Management, and WGU Micro-credential in Applied Business Skills.
