Wheaton Academy
John Vandervelde serves as the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor at Glen Ellyn Bible Church since June 2015. In addition, John is a Bible Teacher at Wheaton Academy, a position held since August 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director at LeaderTreks Youth Ministry from November 2010 to May 2015, and as Program Director at HoneyRock, Wheaton College, from February 2005 to October 2010. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, and ongoing Doctor of Ministry studies in Ministry Leadership at Wheaton College, expected to conclude in May 2027.
