Adjunct Faculty | Guest Lecturer Of Clarinet at Wheaton College

Elizabeth Kapitaniuk is an accomplished clarinetist and educator currently serving as Principal Clarinet for the West Michigan Symphony since June 2025. Elizabeth has also held clarinet instructor positions at West Aurora High School and Wheaton Warrenville South High School since September 2024, alongside an adjunct faculty role at Wheaton College. Additional experience includes membership in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, where Elizabeth has participated as a regular member since August 2022, and as a substitute musician with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra since March 2023. As a private clarinet teacher since January 2011, Elizabeth has guided students of all ages. Previous leadership roles include Director of Music and Worship at First Presbyterian Church of Aurora, where Elizabeth managed worship services, led music teams, and oversaw the budget, as well as serving as Music Director at Christ Presbyterian Church, where foundational systems for worship were developed. Elizabeth holds a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Wheaton College.
