Robert Bob C. Boucher Jr.

Robert “Bob” Boucher Jr. serves as the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Wheelabrator Technologies, where he leads a growing fleet representing over 1,800 employees in the U.S. and U.K. Under Bob’s leadership, Wheelabrator Technologies has acquired five organizations over the past two years and currently operates close to 50 facilities, including waste-to-energy and waste fuel, ash monofills, waste-by-rail, truck hauling operations, transfer stations and landfills. Over the course of Bob’s successful 35-year career in the waste management industry, he has served in both senior and management roles with Synagro, Waste Management and American Waste Systems before joining Republic in 2010 as area president. Shortly thereafter in 2011, Bob was promoted to president, managing operations that generated an excess of $2 billion annually. Most recently, he served as CEO and executive director of Transpacific Industries Group Ltd., a publicly traded waste management corporation in Australia.
