Stephen Weiss

Stephen Weiss is an accomplished musician with extensive experience in various orchestras and academic institutions. Currently serving as Substitute Concertmaster and Viola for the Moulin Rouge! Broadway Tour since September 2023, Weiss also holds roles as Substitute Violist with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and The American Pops Orchestra, as well as Principal Viola with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. An educator, Weiss is a faculty member at City Music Center of Duquesne University and an Adjunct Professor of Viola at Seton Hill University. Additional engagements include performing as a Violinist with the Bastard Bearded Irishmen and as a Section Violist with OPERA PROJECT COLUMBUS INCORPORATED. Weiss possesses a rich academic background, holding degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University in Music Performance and Music Education.
