Daniel Romero Arrieta

Daniel Romero Arrieta is currently an FPGA Engineer at Wheere, focusing on hardware design for a sub-metric localization solution applicable in various environments. Previously, Daniel served as a PhD Researcher at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, specializing in atmospheric modeling for optical data transmission, and as an Applied R&D engineer at Nokia Bell Labs, working on free-space optical communication for GEO-ground links. Daniel began at Nokia Bell Labs as a stagiaire in free-space optics and also completed an internship in automation of a GEO-satellite ground laser link emulator at IRT Saint Exupéry. Early experience includes an internship in preventive and corrective maintenance engineering at Kimberly-Clark. Daniel holds a PhD in Free-space optical communications from Université Paris-Saclay and multiple degrees in electronic engineering and telecommunications from prestigious institutions.
