Malika Kenzhebaeva

Malika Kenzhebaeva has a diverse work experience in finance and operations. Malika currently holds the position of Finance & Operations Director at Whereby, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Finance Director at the same company from April 2022 to April 2023.

In addition, they have experience in various finance roles at REKKI, starting as a Management Accounting and Finance Analyst in July 2015 and progressing to the role of Financial Controller in December 2020. Their tenure at REKKI ended in April 2022.

Malika has further finance experience at YLD, where they held positions such as Finance Manager and Finance Analyst from August 2017 to June 2019.

In 2014, Malika began their career as an Assistant Accounting Manager at Helrik and Louw Chartered Management Accountants, where they gained experience in tax computations, debt collection, and client management. Their time at the company lasted from February 2014 to March 2015.

Furthermore, they participated in the OnBoard Programme as an NED mentee from September 2022 to April 2023. This program aims to increase diversity on boards by equipping talented individuals from communities impacted by social and economic inequality with the skills and opportunities to take on board roles.

Malika is also involved in the nonprofit sector, serving as a Trustee and Treasurer at Beam starting from July 2023.

Malika Kenzhebaeva completed a Data Science - Part-Time Course at General Assembly in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University from 2016 to 2017. Malika also pursued ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification at BPP University from 2015 to 2017. In 2013 to 2015, they earned a Diploma in Business Management from London School of Business and Finance LSBF. Their earlier education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research (KIMEP) from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Chartered Accountant (Member) through ACCA since 2019 and an ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business obtained in 2016.
