Phil Thompson

Phil Thompson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in new product integration and development, particularly within the appliance industry at Whirlpool Corporation. Since joining Whirlpool in November 2011, Phil has served in various roles, currently as Senior Engineering Manager, leading cross-functional teams to innovate and streamline the introduction of Whirlpool, Maytag, and Amana brand washing machines. Previous positions at Whirlpool include Engineering Manager and Project Manager, where Phil focused on capital spending, assembly processes, and modular manufacturing solutions. Prior experience includes roles at Tower Automotive as a Senior Welding Engineer and at John Deere as a Welding Engineer, with a foundation in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University.
