Mark Fields MSIST CISSP PMP ITILv3

Mark Fields has over 30 years of diverse work experience in technology and project management roles. Mark most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Technology and Innovation at WhirlWind Technologies, where they led the technology and product development services. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), overseeing emerging technology projects. Mark also served as the Information Technology Chief and Senior Lead Principal at NOAA, providing thought leadership and guidance on network infrastructure improvements. Mark has extensive experience in the government sector, including roles as the Project Manager, Lead Principal, and Subject Matter Expert at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Social Security Administration. Mark also held project management and network engineering positions at The Pentagon, United States Army Research Laboratory, UUNET/MCI-Worldcom, and the United States Air Force. Mark holds a MSIST degree and certifications including CISSP, PMP, and ITILv3.

Mark Fields MSIST CISSP PMP ITILv3 has a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Technology from The George Washington University School of Business, which they attended from 2007 to 2008. Mark also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

In addition to their education, Mark Fields has acquired several certifications. In 2009, they obtained the Chief Information Officer (CIO) certification from GSA CIO University and The George Washington University. In 2011, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Mark obtained the ITILv3 Foundations certification in 2012 from the ITIL Official Accreditor on behalf of the Cabinet Office. In 2016, Mark obtained the AWS Technical Professional certification from Amazon Web Services. Lastly, in 2018, they obtained the CISSP certification from the ISC2 Baltimore Chapter.
