Matthew Browne has been involved in a variety of roles in the technology and venture capital industries. In 2020, they became the Managing Partner of Black Nova Venture Capital and Co-founder of Upflowy. Matthew also became the Director and Technology Advisor, General Manager & Executive Director APAC for Health & Safety Institute (HSI) in the same year. In 2021, they became the Co-Founder of Steamengine. In 2019, they became the Venture Partner for Antler and in 2018 they became the Founding Advisor for Goanna Solutions. In 2014, they became the Co Founder & Advisor for Whispli - Fraudsec. In 2020, they became the Investor & Director Pied Parker. Matthew also held the role of CEO & Co-founder for DoneSafe from 2013 to 2018.

Matthew completed a Green Belt in Continuous Improvement from Six Sigma in 2012, a Master eLearning Certification from B Online in 2011, an Internal Auditor Certification from SAI Global in 2009, a Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety from TAFE NSW in 2009, an ITIL v3 Foundations Certification from ITIL in 2007, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment from TAFE NSW in 2007, and a High School Certificate from St Leo's College in 2003.
