Gulliver MacDonald is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant for LAW 131 (Legal Method) at The University of Auckland, teaching tutorials on case law reasoning and statutory interpretation while also marking legal opinions. As a Research Assistant, Gulliver focuses on human rights redress under the supervision of Dr. Maria Armoudian, and previously conducted research for Professor Janet McLean KC. Gulliver has experience as a Summer Research Scholar, investigating human rights redress in Aceh, Indonesia, and presented findings at the New Zealand Political Studies Association Conference 2024. Additionally, Gulliver holds positions as Citations Managing Editor for the Auckland University Law Review and Student Editor for the New Zealand Law Review. Previous roles include citations editing and a winter clerkship at Chapman Tripp. Gulliver is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Politics) degree at The University of Auckland.
