Fergus Smith

Fergus Smith is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in the field of law, currently serving as Partner and Global Head of Offshore Wind at White & Case LLP since March 2017. Smith previously held the position of Director at Kyeema Foundation from December 2017 until July 2023 and was a Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills from 2009 to February 2017. Additional experience includes a role as Senior Adviser (Legal and Governance) at the Office of the Prime Minister of Australia in 2013, and various positions at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and King & Wood Mallesons early in Smith's career. Smith holds a BCL from the University of Oxford and dual degrees in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology. Early education was at Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane.
