Our uniquely dynamic teaching team, which includes our teachers and paraprofessionals as well as behavioral and special education specialists and therapists, combine the best of an enriching custom- created and an evidence-based intervention curriculum , in order to provide children diagnosed with mild to moderate comprehensive learning disabilities, with the optimal plan for their specific learning style. Additionally, our teachers are trained in the TEACCH Approach through the University of North Carolina. Through this level of expertise, we provide the necessary levels of structured and therapeutic interventions which optimize improvement in attention, anxiety, behavior, executive function and independent learning. It is our mission at White Clay School to: Teach each child as a unique individual and create a learning program for them, which will identify their learning strengths and weaknesses, and allow them to thrive in their intellectual, educational and social/emotional development. Designing each child's educational program through both a structured academic and therapeutic approach in order to develop both cognitive and behavioral deficits. Include and empower our children to help make a difference in our community today and throughout their lives.
