Norm Alpert

Mr. Alpert is a senior investment professional who leverages nearly 40 years of experience in the private equity industry. Mr. Alpert co founded and is Co-President and a Founding Partner of Vestar Capital Partners, a leading middle-market private equity firm specializing in management buyouts, recapitalizations and growth equity investments in the Consumer, Healthcare and Business & Technology Services sectors.

Prior to founding Vestar Capital Partners, Mr. Alpert was a member of the Management Buyout Group at The First Boston Corporation. He began his career as a Commercial Banker at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company as a member of the Special Finance Division.

Mr. Alpert currently serves as a Director for IRI Worldwide, Quest Analytics, Veritas Collaborative and Healthgrades, and has served as a Director of over 20 corporate boards during his career at Vestar Capital Partners. Norm is a Trustee Emeritus of both Brown University and White Plains Hospital, is President of American Friends of Shalva (the association for mentally and physically challenged children in Israel), serves on the board of the National Rowing Foundation, and is active in many other philanthropic organizations.

Mr. Alpert earned his A.B. degree in American History and Economics from Brown University.
