White House Historical Association
Margaret Lineberger is an experienced professional in historical interpretation and education, currently serving as Trades Supervisor at George Washington's Mount Vernon since March 2018. Key responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, overseeing training for new hires, and assisting with production work at the Distillery and Gristmill. Prior roles at Mount Vernon involved interpreting the history of George Washington and demonstrating 18th-century farming techniques. Additional experience includes visitor services at the White House Historical Association and Dumbarton House, as well as roles in multiple museums where Margaret contributed to public programs, exhibit curation, and educational workshops. Margaret holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Virginia.
White House Historical Association
The White House Historical Association is a private non-profit educational organization with a mission to enhance the understanding and appreciation of the Executive Mansion. First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy founded the Association in 1961 to help the White House collect and exhibit the very best artifacts of American history and culture. Today, our acquisition, preservation, research, and education efforts continue through generous private donations and the sale of our books, products, and the official White House Ornament.
