Kay Ann Housdan, RHIA, CCS-P has had a diverse range of roles and responsibilities in the healthcare industry. Kay Ann began their career at White River Health in 2010 as a HIM/Coding professional, where they handled various tasks such as scanning documents, assisting in writing policies and job descriptions, and managing IV and Obs charges for the hospital. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Outpatient Coding Supervisor, where they focused on productivity tracking, auditing, CCI edits, OP denials, and writing DRG denial appeal letters. Their expertise in coding also allowed their to write coding policies and job descriptions. In 2018, they became a Revenue Cycle System Analyst, followed by a PFS Supervisor position in 2019. As a PFS Supervisor, they collaborated with billing to optimize workflow, provided education, and successfully reduced unbilled and AR days. From 2019 to 2022, Kay Ann served as the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster Coordinator, overseeing the coordination and integrity of all revenue-related processes. Most recently, in 2022, they returned to the role of Assistant Director of the Revenue Cycle Clinic Division at White River Health, where they remained until the end of the year. Throughout their career, Kay Ann's focus has been on ensuring efficient revenue cycle operations and maintaining compliance with coding and billing regulations.

Kay Ann Housdan completed their education at Louisiana Tech University from 2018 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Health Information and Informatics Management with a focus on Revenue Cycle. Additionally, they have obtained the certification of Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based (CCS-P) from AHIMA in December 2016.
