Kay Ann Housdan, RHIA, CCS-P has had a diverse range of roles and responsibilities in the healthcare industry. Kay Ann began their career at White River Health in 2010 as a HIM/Coding professional, where they handled various tasks such as scanning documents, assisting in writing policies and job descriptions, and managing IV and Obs charges for the hospital. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Outpatient Coding Supervisor, where they focused on productivity tracking, auditing, CCI edits, OP denials, and writing DRG denial appeal letters. Their expertise in coding also allowed their to write coding policies and job descriptions. In 2018, they became a Revenue Cycle System Analyst, followed by a PFS Supervisor position in 2019.
