Mr. Bafia was appointed Chief Operating Officer of White Star Petroleum in May 2018, before that serving as Vice President of Geosciences and in other roles of increasing responsibility with White Star and its predecessor, American Energy-Woodford, LLC. Previously, Mr. Bafia worked for SandRidge Energy, Devon Energy and Marathon Oil Company in various geology focused roles. Mr. Bafia has broad working knowledge of, and exposure to, many onshore U.S. basins, including the Mid-Continent, Permian, East Texas, Gulf Coast, and Rocky Mountain, the offshore Gulf of Mexico and international projects in Australia, Argentina and Mexico.
Mr. Bafia earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology degree from Purdue University in 1995 and his Master of Science in Geophysics from Texas A&M University in 1998.
