Jesse Torgerson has over 20 years of experience in software engineering. In 1999, they began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they primarily designed and developed software using Java and implemented a continuous build environment. In 2008, they became a Software Development Consultant at Signature Consultants, where they installed Sun Communication Suite and developed Java Struts and BlazeDS code for a reporting web application. Jesse also did maintenance and troubleshooting for PL/SQL code base. In 2009, they took on the role of Software Engineer at FASI, where they worked on a team providing Enterprise Authorization control and assisted customers with integration and troubleshooting with REST web service. In 2011, they joined KeyW Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they were a team lead for XACML based Enterprise Authorization system. Jesse deployed cloud based Java Web application and migrated from on-premise legacy solution. In 2019, they began working as a Cloud Engineer at Cloudnetic Solutions, where they lead a team of between 6 and 8 Engineers in supporting ETL systems. Jesse also developed and deployed applications to cloud and migrated processing orchestration to a serverless based solution. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Whiteboard Federal Technologies.
Jesse Torgerson attended St. Mary's College of Maryland from 1997 to 1999, where they earned a degree in Mathematics/Computer Science. Jesse then attended Virginia Tech from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, Jesse has obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2019.
