Vincent Mai has over four years of work experience. In 2018, they worked as a Software Intern at Dologic Inc, where they operated on a private social application, learning basic C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API's. In 2019, they were a Software Engineering Intern at ST Engineering iDirect, where they utilized Network Management Server (NMS) to fix and debug within API's using REST and C++ in a RHEL Environment, developed scripts with BASH and NodeJS for config-automation, and configured servers along with traffic probe bench-marking using pfsend and nprobe. In 2020, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Dell Technologies, where they created Python scripts to configure sosreport on RSA type servers to automate the process of collecting specific logs/config files for user troubleshooting, parsed and scripted iostats, and enhanced RESTful API user interface using Ember. JS, Handlebars, and Redux. Vincent also created automation for detecting and troubleshooting instances of packet drops in a customer network using Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and API’s. Additionally, they were an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech. In 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at NetWitness. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Whiteboard Federal Technologies.
Vincent Mai obtained a Network Pro certification from TestOut Corporation in April 2017. Vincent then went on to attend Virginia Tech from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning.
