John Hirschmiller

John Hirschmiller is a Senior Geologist at Whitecap Resources Inc., specializing in water disposal within the Unconventional Division since September 2023, and also leads the New Energy geoscience team focused on Carbon Capture Storage initiatives. With extensive experience at GLJ Ltd. from 2013 to 2023, John held roles including Geothermal Team Lead and Manager of Geosciences, managing numerous geothermal projects and leading geological interpretations for resource evaluations. Prior positions include Senior Geologist at Woodside Energy, Geoscientist at Eavor Technologies, and various roles in geological technology and fieldwork. John holds a Bachelor's Degree in Earth Sciences (First Class Honours) from Dalhousie University and an Associate's Degree in Geological Technology (Honours) from NAIT.
