Arash Tavakoli

Arash Tavakoli currently serves as the Superintendent of OT Support at Whitehaven Coal since April 2024. Prior to this role, Arash was the Site Technology Superintendent at Newmont Australia from March 2023 to April 2024. A significant tenure at BHP from May 2011 to March 2022 included roles such as Supervisor of Production Systems - Technology and PSS Coordinator at the BHP Integrated Remote Operations Center. Previous experience includes positions at Rio Tinto as a Specialist Technician in both the Remote Operations Centre and East Pilbara Remote Operations Centre, as well as providing executive support for the Senior Leadership Team. Arash began their career at EDS as a Specialist Technician for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security from Charles Sturt University and multiple certifications in Project Management from Curtin University, along with being a VMware Certified Professional through VMware IT Academy. Arash completed secondary education at Unley High School.
