Jorge Moraga

Jorge Moraga is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in operations management. Currently serving as General Manager Operations at Whitehaven Coal since January 2019, Jorge previously held the same title at Ok Tedi Mining Limited from September 2016 to December 2018. Jorge's career at BHP spanned nearly two decades, during which various key roles were undertaken, including Acting GM Operations, Manager Mining Production, Manager Technical Services, and Mine Operation Superintendent for the North-Escondida Mine Project. Jorge holds a Master of Business Administration from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, a Master of Engineering of Sciences from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Mining Engineering from the same institution.
