Evan Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Evan started their career in 2010 as a Freelance Web Designer at Fruition.net. In 2011, they co-founded SquaQr, and from 2012 to 2013, they worked at Complex Media as a Senior Mobile Developer and later as a Product Manager for Emerging Platforms & Mobile.
In 2013, Evan joined CNCPTS as a Designer & Web Developer, where they established the business and helped small businesses take control of their online presence. Evan remained at CNCPTS until 2013.
From 2015 to 2019, Evan worked as a Consultant for Product & UX Development at CakeWorks Video. During this time, they collaborated with media companies and retailers to develop and ship new products.
In 2016, Evan founded VEIL Inc., a visualization application company that helps athletes improve their performance. Evan was responsible for product vision and development until 2020.
In 2018, Evan became an Entrepreneur In Residence and Co-Founder at Do North Coworking. Evan'srole involved supporting and mentoring startups until 2021.
Since 2015, Evan has been working as a Product Development Consultant at Hjalmar Carlson. Evan'sresponsibilities include product strategy, user experience design, frontend web development, and prototyping.
In 2020, Evan took on the role of Chair and Founding member at NEK Community Broadband, where they worked on developing a community-owned fiber optic network to provide high-speed internet access to northeastern Vermont.
Currently, Evan holds the position of Director of Product & Business Development at Whiteout Solutions, starting in 2021.
Evan Carlson completed their education from the New England Institute of Art, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interactive Media Design. This educational journey took place from 2002 to 2006.
In 2020, Evan enrolled in the Snellings Vermont Leadership Institute for a one-year period. While there, they focused on studying Organizational Leadership.
Additionally, Evan obtained a certification as a Certified Part 107 Remote Commercial Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration in August 2022.
