Steve J. Setchell

Steve Setchell currently serves as the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at Whitman College, a position held since November 2019. Prior to this role, Steve Setchell had an extensive career at DePauw University, where responsibilities included Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement, Interim Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement, and various leadership positions in alumni engagement and fundraising from August 2008 to November 2019. Earlier experience at DePauw University also includes roles such as Director of the Annual Fund and Major Gifts Officer, among others, beginning in 1996. Additionally, Steve Setchell held the position of Associate Dean of Admission Operations at Ohio Wesleyan University from 1999 to 2002. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in English Composition from DePauw University and a Master of Public Affairs with a focus on Public Policy Analysis from the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
