Naseema Shafi

Naseema Shafi has a diverse work experience starting as a Litigation Clerk at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett and Dunner, LLP in 2000. Naseema then worked as a Litigation Legal Assistant at Finnegan Henderson from 2002 to 2004. Naseema transitioned into the legal field and worked as a Legal Assistant at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP from 2006 to 2007. In 2007, they moved to Whitman-Walker Health, starting as a Compliance Analyst and later becoming Director of Compliance. Naseema then served as Chief Operating Officer before taking on the role of Deputy Executive Director. Most recently, they have been the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing various clinical, programmatic, and operational areas of the health center.

Naseema Shafi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland in 2000. Naseema then pursued a J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, graduating in 2005. In 2004, they studied International/Islamic Law at Seton Hall University School of Law. Additionally, they participated in a study abroad program focusing on Government and Politics at Al Akhawayn University in 1999. Naseema also holds a certification as an Advisory Board Fellow from the Advisory Board.
