Spencer Tomkins

Spencer Tomkins is a seasoned professional in the fine art sector, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Whitney Museum Studio Forum Patron Group since March 2016 and holding the position of President at Spencer Tomkins Fine Art, Inc. since March 1996. The latter company specializes in assisting private individuals and corporations in acquiring art discreetly. Prior experience includes roles in sales at Gagosian Gallery (1992-1996), cataloguing for Sotheby's Contemporary Art Department (1990-1991), and working as a fine art printmaker for Frank Stella (1980-1990), where key projects include "Shards," "Had Gadya," and "The Waves." Spencer Tomkins holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Parsons School of Design - The New School and has completed education at Lawrence Academy and Collegiate School.
