Smita Shrivastava

Smita Shrivastava has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. Smita began their career as a Systems Engineer at Metricom in 2000, before moving on to become a Software Engineer at Brocade Communications in 2002. In 2007, they took on the roles of Strategic Marketing Consultant and Marketing Manager at HelloSoft. In 2010, they became a Founder at Tavess. In 2016, they became a Consultant at IoTium, and in 2019 they became a Founder at Whizara, where they work to enable the integration of computational thinking and coding into existing K-12 grade levels.

Smita Shrivastava began their education in 1982 at St Xavier's School, Bokaro Steel City. Smita then attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1994 to 1998, graduating with a B.Tech in Energy Engineering. In 1998, they moved to the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they earned an MS in Computer Engineering in 1999. In 2005, they completed an MBA from INSEAD.
