Wensley Jenneker was just 20 when he started working as a mine quarry apprentice in PE. A qualified Red Seal diesel mechanic, he cut his teeth on maintaining heavy-duty mining equipment. Albeit young, he was responsible for manning a fleet of trucks. “My passion for demolition started there. I got a kick out of seeing these huge machines at work,” he says, smiling.

Brick by brick, Wensley built his business, putting himself through engineering studies. Three decades later, WHJ Projects (Pty) Ltd is a recognised market leader in the demolition, excavation, and SA steelworks industry, with an extensive portfolio spanning the public and private sector, nationally and abroad.
