Geetha Tharmaratnam

Chief Impact Investment Officer at WHO Foundation

Geetha Tharmaratnam currently serves as the Chief Impact Investment Officer at the WHO Foundation, where responsibilities include developing impact and program-related investing strategies aimed at strengthening global health systems. In addition, Geetha is Vice Chair of the Oversight Group for the Church Commissioners for England, overseeing a £100 million impact investment initiative addressing historical injustices related to transatlantic slavery. As a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader, Geetha promotes responsible leadership for a more just future. Other roles include Chair of the Investment Committee at Nyala Venture, Investment Committee Member at Aleyo Capital, Board Member at Okavango Capital, and Trustee positions with Royal Africa and the AKO Caine Prize for African Writing. Education includes an MSc in Management Research and an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a BSc in Finance from the University of Bridgeport.
