Behnoosh Tavakoli

Behnoosh Tavakoli is a seasoned professional in biomedical signal processing, currently serving as Vice President of Signal Processing at WHOOP since July 2015. Previous roles at WHOOP include Director and Lead Signal Processing Engineer, while focusing on the advancement of the company's wearable technology. Prior to WHOOP, Tavakoli was a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University, contributing to the Medical Ultrasound Imaging and Intervention Collaboration (MUSiiC) Research Laboratory, with significant achievements in the development of miniaturized probes and algorithms for medical imaging. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, alongside an MSc and BSc in electrical engineering. Tavakoli's work spans various institutions, demonstrating a strong expertise in optical and ultrasound imaging, photoacoustic applications, and algorithm development in medical research.
