William Sweeney

William Sweeney, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist at WHOOP since March 2023, bringing extensive experience in data science and physics. Previously, Sweeney held positions as Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at VideaHealth from August 2020 to February 2023, and as a Graduate Research Fellow at Yale University from August 2012 to August 2020, focusing on theoretical physics and wave propagation in complex media. Earlier in the career, Sweeney was a Fellow at Insight Data Science and worked as a Physicist at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where the focus was on acoustics and electromagnetic modeling. Sweeney earned multiple degrees from Yale University, including a PhD, MS, and MPhil in Physics, as well as an MS in Applied Physics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering and a BA in Physics from the University of Chicago.
