Chris Warth has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Chris is currently working as a Software Engineer at WhyLabs since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Igneous Systems from 2016 to 2020, where they were a Member of Technical Staff and gained experience in ARM64 board bringup, developing distributed services, and coding in Go.

Before Igneous Systems, Chris worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center from 2014 to 2016 as a Programmer in Computational Biology. There, they focused on HIV genome simulation, Bayesian inference, and genome alignment using languages like Python, R, and Java.

In their earlier years, Chris was a Biochemistry Undergraduate at the University of Washington from 2010 to 2014, where they also worked as a Computational Assistant in a biochemistry lab, conducting sequence alignment and gene expression profiling.

Their career began in 1984 at Bell Laboratories, where they worked as a Member of Technical Staff until 1988. Chris then joined Sun Microsystems as a Software Engineer until 1995, where they co-developed the Java programming language and worked on porting SunOS to custom hardware.

Furthermore, Chris worked at Epigram, Inc. from 1996 to 1999 as a Software Engineer, followed by Broadcom from 1999 to 2004 as a Software Engineer specializing in implementing wireless drivers.

In addition to their employment history, Chris has also worked as a self-employed consultant from 1995 to 1996, providing networking and programming consultancy services, developing websites, customer management systems, and conducting Java language training.

Chris Warth attended Tulane University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Chris then pursued further education at Stevens Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1986, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science. Finally, in the period from 2009 to 2013, Chris studied Biochemistry at the University of Washington without completing a specific degree.
